the plank company are a traditional family business. we craft the finest solid hardwood wide plank flooring in the uk or ireland, and provide a very experienced, knowledgeable and personal service for our clients from initial inquiry, to delivery and installation of your floor, with the most expert and friendly help and advice along the way.

we love our wood! we have so much enthusiasm for our beautiful timbers, and clients are always telling us they are impressed by how much passion we and our staff have for our beautiful wood. we stock the largest range of native and exotic timber in different species, and also a wide range of unusual natural coloured oaks and our irish Inspirations collection of tinted native oaks.

over the past 15 years we have built a reputation for creating stunning solid hardwood wide planks. traditional aesthetics combined with modern applications including underfloor heating (ufh) we have the most knowledgeable experts in the uk or ireland to advise our clients on underfloor heating (*ufh) we were the first company to fully guarantee our solid wide boards over ufh, and have 1000’s metres successfully installed with ufh. we can craft a board with the aesthetics for period or traditional style homes and buildings, or for contemporary or minimal interiors. as timber importers, our director david mcneill travels the world to personally select and purchase the finest timbers available. our timbers are hand picked for their beauty, maturity, character and above all exceptional quality. david designed the special one of a kind wadkin moulder we use to produce the finest solid hardwood boards available, to the lowest tolerances in the world, which result in a board which has the finest precision levels, and allows us to fully guarantee our boards over ufh and installed directly to dry concrete.

when you visit us at the timbermill to look at our large collection of different timber species in our showroom, you will at all times have your own expert personal/technical consultant who will answer any queries you may have. we carry large stocks, and can deliver promptly after order. large quantities are no problem, and we provide site visit, moisture testing* and floor fitting service. (*site visits & moisture tests are only offered as a service available to clients who have placed firm orders)
