the plank company began with a love
of wood by a father and son. their passion
and belief in solid hardwood flooring as the
most beautiful, practical and healthy flooring
led them to their timbermill in newtownards.
they designed and installed a highly
advanced wood moulding machine to enable
them to craft the finest quality solid hardwood
traditional wide plank flooring available in the
world, which would not only combine
the hardest, most beautiful timbers on earth
with superb quality, but it would also be
totally compatible with both underfloor heating
(ufh) &/or direct to dry concrete screeds.
robert & david mcneill spent 5 years
researching, developing and testing boards
with these qualities which could be guaranteed
for use with ufh, and the past 10 years we have
been able to fully guarantee our solid boards
over ufh.
robert mcneill had a passion and enthusiasm
for beautiful timbers, and this is carried on today
through his wife ruth & their son david who
continue to run this traditional family business
with an emphasis on exceptional quality, a
wonderful range of the worlds hardest & most
beautiful woods and a very personal service.
