all our boards are a structural 22mm thick, in widths to 230mm and in long lengths. all tongued, grooved and end matched. pre sanded on line. Our board tolerances* are virtually zero, the best in the world.

david mcneill travels extensively to source the finest timbers in the world to craft into beautiful wide plank floors.

we obtain raw timber from only the finest timber mills in europe who have vast experience in choosing logs, slicing into boards and then air drying and kilning them in the traditional way.

all boards we choose are of the highest quality, straight line edged and parallel sawn so every board we craft is perfectly straight and true, and do have not have curves or bends.

our oaks are chosen for their quality, and above all character, as native european oak is renowned for the handsome figure, and attractive knotting incl. pippy and cats paw knots.

our exotic timbers are chosen from the most desirable prime grades which are used mostly for exclusive joinery and fine furniture veneers, so are the finest quality exotic wood floor boards available.

*board tolerances: this is the degree of "levelness" between any two boards, which ensures that there are no ridges between boards which require sanding to remove, or the application of an "eased edge" or bevel to disguise less than perfect tolerance.
